Cabarete
Sun-tanned
surfers, cool music, beautiful girls and beach bars trying to top each other
with Happy Hour offers.
Experts know this must be Cabarete, the little town east of Sosúa, also called the capital of windsurfers. The highlight for windsurfers is the “Cabarete Race Week”, taking place every year in June.

Also, Cabarete is hosting the kitesurfing World cup, a relatively new sport where the surfer is dragged by a kite. Most hotels, restaurants, bars and surfing schools are in the firm grip of Germans, Swiss, Austrians, French and Franco-Canadians.
The
slightly curved, spacious and fine sandy Cabarete beach has an overall length
of more than 10 kilometers and belongs to the most beautiful of the Northern
Coast.
